The majority of Alan`s output however is work produced from a range of subject matter. His exhibitions often contain landscapes, figure drawings and botanical paintings sourced from various locations around the world. He has two working studios. One in Leeds, England and another in Deia, Mallorca. He divides his time at each.

His love of colour is always very evident in his work, combined with elegant and exploratative draughtsmanship. “ More latterly I have enjoyed working with colour on a large scale, and my exhibitions this year will feature big paintings produced here and in Mallorca, as well as some studies produced in Mustique in the spring.”
